Daily Paper turns to Maasai __ S/S 2016

We love Daily Paper. It’s probably for the easy way  that this brand is cool and simple at the same time; maybe for the capacity that the clothes have to remind to a multiplicity of cultures, from the African one to the street world; or just because of the quality of the garments, the fine detailing and, last but not least, the great design of its collections. Founded in 2010, Daily Paper is an Amsterdam based menswear label. Inspired by the founder’s own African heritage and passion for contemporary fashion, Daily Paper became soon a  respected creator of authentic ready-to-wear garments. It’s also well known for the strong passion that the brand has for the black music: last year it collaborated for a capsule limited-edition with the r’n’b collective Soulection. Daily Paper has a Soundcloud profile, too, that is constantly updated with a mix of african and clubbing inspirations. SOMETHING ABOUT SPRINGTIME: ONE-O-EIGHT

One-O-Eight is one of the youngest brand we have in our shop.  Fresh, feminine and easy-to-wear, during the last season autumn/winter it proposed a combination of nice fabrics and fine cuts for coats, shirts, culottes and skirts, for a touch of London style… in Stuttgart, as in Brixton! Although only established in January 2015, this London-based brand has already defined its aesthetic through the creation of clean and contemporary silhouettes. WINTER (IN) RAINS

GESCHWISTERLIEBE TRIBE / CORINNA HOUIDI

Some people has an innate sense pour la mode. Corinna Houdi is tout court dans la mode. Our Geschwisterliebe’s member, in fact, is a young fashion designer on the rise, proposing particular pieces in between a new eccentric street style and inspirations haute couture. After attending the Fashion school of Brigitte Kehrer in Stuttgart, she started with her own brand, Maison Corinna Houdi. Nothing more then hoods, at the beginning, for developing her sartorial ability and her innovative design. Fantôme, Corinna’s masterpieces, is a line of soft and cozy hoods, created in a range of dark colours and enriched time by time of particular details (zip, leather, special fabrics). Along the years, she increased her own line with Alchemist, backpacks with a particular drop shape, produced in different kind of leather and colours, whit small details in metal and practical zip in the centre. The last creation of the Maison is the Torino, a long coat (de)structured in a overlapping of shapes and volumes, with details like pockets and special materials. This unique piece is part of the Spring collection 2016. Selling already in Geschwisterliebe and Abseits in Stuttgart, Corinna’s design pieces are more and more a success. LET’S GO METAL – ADIDAS ORIGINALS SUPERSTARS 80’S METAL-TOE

  Here it comes: An absolute Icon for all the sneakers addicted, today a new Superstar deluxe has been released. Since 30 years, the Adidas Superstar are one of those universal shoes, essential in every sneakers collection, no matter gender, nationality or alternative/normal/chic style. Renovating themselves several times,  thanks to special collabs and innovations, they have maintained the shell-toe shape that made them so famous and wearable for everyone. But for their latest release, the Three Stripes drop off a special Metal shell-toe, with shiny finish. GESCHWISTERLIEBE MEETS ____ CI W EN by RABIA CIMEN

As second guest of our project “Geschwisterliebe meets Art”, we are glad to introduce you the twenty-four years old Rabia Cimen, fashion designer who shows her work in our store now. CI W EN, her brand, is a dramatic melting-pot of Western and Eastern aesthetics, as well as the city of London, where she lived for a certain time and from where she got many of her inspirations. How soon is now, the name of the collection, is a research around the themes of identity, youth and globalization. Rabia Cimen seems to concretize, with colors and fabrics, a simple question: “I´m walking, so many smells touching my nose. So like what does it smell?” This collection is composed of a set of oversized and multi-layers outfits with a basic palette of colors (red, black and white), which empathizes the original and deconstructed shapes of the culottes, blazers and ponchos.
